Food & DrinkThe philosophy at the Camilla House regarding food and drink is to provide guests with a good choice of home-made, locally sourced and seasonal produce wherever possible. We are members of the 'Slow Food Movement' (which has nothing to do with how long it takes us to serve breakfast) and fully subscribe to the ideas of promoting good quality local produce on our menus. Guests enjoy the Camilla House breakfasts which have been recognised with the AA's 'Egg Cup' breakfast award and are designed to provide the ideal start for a day before exploring the many delights of West Cornwall and the Land's End Peninsula. Packed lunches and picnic hampers are available for guests who wish to walk on the spectacular South West Coast Path, or enjoy the pre-show experience at the Minack Theatre in style. Penzance has a good selection of decent pubs and restaurants that cater for a wide range of dietary requirements and budgets. Upon arrival at the Camilla House guests are given a detailed map with suggestions for places to eat and drink in town. However it recognised that occasionally guests would rather eat in at the Camilla House or have less to eat in the evening - to that end our 'Simply Supper' menu is designed to offer a good selection of options. Whether a good malt whisky or a tasty gin & tonic is in order, the Camilla House bar can provide an enjoyable drink after a day out and about.
