Arriving by Public Transport

The bus/coach and railway stations are sited next to each other, along with Penzance's Tourist Information Centre (TIC) and Penzance is the end of the line so there is no danger of missing your stop! To walk from the station to the Camilla House (15mins):

From the TIC, cross over entrance lane to bus station and continue until 2nd pedestrian crossing opposite the entrance to the Wharf Side Shopping Centre. Cross the road and  walk through the harbour area, over the Ross Swing Bridge, past the dry dock (The Quay), Boatshed restaurant and Dolphin Tavern (which is on a corner) until you see the Jubilee Pool on the left and the Yacht Inn set back on your right. You are now on Penzance Promenade – take the small right hand turn beyond the ‘Stanley’ into Regent Terrace, the Camilla House is located in the middle.

Alternatively you can hire a taxi from the railway station (taxi rank is outside station entrance) that will take 2-3 minutes.

By Road

From the east - take the A30 to the outskirts of Penzance – at Chy-An-Mor roundabout take the 2nd exit (still the A30) passing the Heliport on your right. At the Branwell Lane roundabout stay in left hand filter lane (B3311) and follow signs to Town Centre, The Scillonian Ferry and Newlyn.

Pass the railway station entrance and take the left hand lane to pass the Wharf Side shopping centre, go along Wharf road by the harbour, over the Ross Swing Bridge, past the dry dock (the Quay) & Boatshed restaurant then the Dolphin Tavern (all on your right) until you come to a pedestrian crossing outside the Jubilee swimming pool – two junctions are just ahead on your right (the first is wide and leads to the Yacht Inn).

Take the second turn (small junction) on the right into Regent Terrace (top tip – this is where many guests keep going along the Promenade and miss the turning into Regent Terrace – the distance from the first junction to the second is only a few metres. The Camilla House is a white building located in the middle of the Terrace - please use the brick-paved car park in front of the hotel (parking for five cars).

By Air / Sea

Cornwall's main airport is at Newquay and is served daily by commercial flights from a number of UK airports.
For guests arriving at the airport it is possible to complete the journey to Penzance by public transport or hire a car.

If sailing to Penzance, there is a wet dock within 5 minutes walk of the Camilla House with up to 50 berths available alongside. Tidal gates open from 2 hours before high water until 1 hour after high water. A vertical display of 2 red lights on the mast on the northern side of the gate indicates that the gate is open, while a red light above a green one indicates that the gate is closed. Penzance port maintains VHF watch on Channel 16 and 12 from HW -2 to HW +1 daily. Penzance harbour office can be contacted on +44 (0) 1736 366113.
