The Camilla House is a small establishment and the instance of guests not showing up or cancelling / curtailing their stay at the last minute has a big impact on our ability to provide the best accommodation and prices to meet customer demand.
Unfortunately it has become necessary to implement an industry standard set of terms and conditions relating to a reservation at the Camilla House - we aim to be fair and reasonable with these and we trust that the vast majority of our guests who genuinely intend to stay at the Camilla House understand why we need to now do this.

Cancellation or Curtailment – Your booking and room reservation forms a legally binding contract between you and the Camilla House owned and managed by Fiona Mohan (AKA Camilla House Limited.
If you book online direct from this web site (using the Eviivo software) you will be asked to pay the equivalent of the first night's stay as the deposit at the time of making the reservation - this will be credited to your account with us (some web sites where our details appear, for example lastminute.com, will charge you the full amount of your stay - that is their business model, not ours).
In you book with us direct over the phone or by e-mail / letter correspondence we will seek the means to secure the reservation by asking for details of a valid credit or debit card and we reserve the right to charge that card for cancellations falling outside the stated time scales below. By entering into this agreement you are authorising us to make the above charges to the specified card without any additional cardholder consent being required.
Whichever way you book (on-line or by phone / e-mail) we have the following policy -
For bookings of two or more rooms, and/or three or more nights it is necessary to provide a minimum of 21 days notice of cancellation or amendment to avoid losing your deposit and having a further cancellation charge of at least 50% of the total value of the reservation. For other bookings, i.e. one room for one or two nights, the minimum notice period is 7 days.
If a cancellation or curtailment of stay occurs we will endeavour to re-let the room(s) and, at our sole discretion, we MAY waive the charge if re-occupied. We WILL waive the charge if the total value of the booking can be replaced in full.
If the reservation was made on-line and we are able offer a refund of the deposit you paid at the time of booking we will do so - less a small handling fee to cover the bank charges and card processing fees that we have already incurred.
It goes without saying that we recommend you have suitable travel insurance in place to cover the cost of cancellation and loss of deposit.
Damage – If any damage occurs to item(s) belonging to the Camilla House, or to the Camilla House itself as the result of a wilful act or because reasonable precautions have not been taken, then we reserve the right to charge for any subsequent replacement, cleaning or repair. If this happens we will charge your credit card, without prior consent being required, against invoice(s) that will be provided for the costs incurred.
Special Dietary Requirements – We are happy to cater for standard dietary requirements such as gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan diets – please let us know at the time of booking so that we can arrange for a more interesting selection to be made available for you.
